Registration & Fees
For the 2007/2008 School Year
Our official registration for all classes takes place in January each year for the coming September.
For the 2008/2009 School Year
Our registration has passed and there are still a few spots left in a few classes for the fall. Please call the school office 282-4220 to check availability.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR 2008/2009: After you have confirmed availability, simply download the 2008/2009 school year application form below or pick up one at the school office, fill it out, attach the requested cheques. Please call the school office to make an appointment to bring in your registration forms.

2008/2009 Tuition Fees
- Preschool Program: $155.00/month
- 2-day Jr. Kindergarten Program: $170.00/month
- 3-day Jr. Kindergarten Program: $240.00/month
- Kindergarten Program 1/2 days: $225.00/month
Registration Fees
All registration fees are non-refundable.
- Preschool and Jr. Kindergarten Programs: $75.00
- Kindergarten Program: $200.00
Completed forms, your registration fees and a void cheque (for direct debit of monthly tuition fees) will need to be given to the school upon registration.
Cancellation Policy
- 60-day written notice from the parent or guardian from first day of the month is required for cancellation from Preschool, Jr. Kindergarten & Kindergarten.
Edelweiss Preparatory School reserves the right to cancel a child’s registration for any of the following reasons:
- if a child is experiencing too much separation anxiety and will not enter the program independantly;
- if a child is exhibiting aggressive behaviour towards other students or teachers;
- if parents are argumentative with other parents regarding parenting styles or skills/discipline methods or are disruptive to the positive school atmosphere that exists;
- if parents are disrespectful to Edelweiss teachers or staff. Under any of these circustances, no notice will be required on the part of Edelweiss Preparatory School.
Entrance Requirements
- Edelweiss accepts all children who can toilet independantly and can separate without excessive anxiety from their parent/caregiver. If a child has started our program and it is found to be that the child is not able to toilet independantly or cannot separate without excessive anxiety, we will need to cancel your registration until such time as the child is ready.
- Since all children mature at varying rates emotionally or socially, some children are not ready for our program at age 3 or 4. If after attending our school for a month, and we determine that the child is still very anxious without their parent or if the child’s behaviour is having an affect on the class where the teachers are required to give too much one on one attention to the child, then the parents will be contacted to offer suggestions/resources for having the child attend an alternative program such as a parented program where the child can develop at their comfort level with parental guidance.
- Edelweiss requires a registering student to be able to understand English and be able to speak some English in order to be able to feel comfortable in our program.
- Edelweiss may decline to accept a child into our program if it is felt we are not equipped appropriately or if we do not have the expertise to adequately provide a program for a particular child’s needs.
